THE KATHAVISUALS GUIDE
How to do a virtual pooja online
ऑनलाइन वर्चुअल पूजा कैसे करें
A simple guide to bells, flowers and aarti in a free virtual temple, with no account needed and a clear distinction from priest-led rituals.

What is a virtual pooja?
A virtual pooja is an on-screen devotional activity: you enter a digital shrine and choose symbolic offerings such as a bell, flowers or a lamp. On KathaVisuals, it is a free way to pause with a bhajan or a familiar divine story. You can begin in your browser on a phone or computer without creating an account.
The distinction matters. These are virtual gestures, not physical offerings delivered to a temple, a paid ritual performed in your name, or a substitute prescribed for your own family's practices. There is no promise that an on-screen offering will produce a particular result. Bring your own intention, and use the experience in the way that feels appropriate to you.
Begin your online pooja in four steps
Start from the temple map or choose an open shrine from the homepage. You do not need to finish a game or collect points before you can enter.
- Choose a temple with available videos. On the map, select its marker to walk there, then choose Enter temple. You can also enter a shrine directly from the homepage.
- Inside the temple, select Offer pooja. The camera returns to the altar and the tray opens with labelled offering controls.
- Ring the Bell, offer Flowers and choose Aarti. Let the lamp animation complete. Conch and Chant are optional ways to continue your moment.
- Close the tray when you are ready. Stay for a bhajan, return to the map or view My journey to see your saved visits and offerings.
Sound, motion and a calmer visit
Ritual sounds are off by default. Use the sound control in the pooja tray if you want to hear the bell and other offerings. The bhajan player has its own playback controls; opening a temple from the map does not mean you must immediately start a video.
On a phone, the direction pad moves your character. On a computer, use the arrow keys or WASD while the map has focus. Selecting a temple marker lets the character walk there automatically, and manual movement takes over whenever you want. The map and video library offer different ways in, so you can choose a direct visit when you have only a minute.
What is saved after your offering?
My journey gathers your temple visits and completed offerings. Without signing in, progress is kept in this browser on this device. Clearing browser storage, using another browser or switching devices can mean starting with a different record. If storage is blocked, the experience can still work for the current session.
A locked shrine is simply waiting for a video in the catalogue. It is not a paid tier, and creating an account does not unlock it. Choose any open shrine today, or explore the bhajan library for stories that do not yet have their own temple. A short, unhurried visit is enough; there is no required streak or offering quota.
Questions before you begin
Do I need to pay or sign in?
No. Visiting open temples, watching videos and making virtual offerings are free. An account is optional.
Does someone perform this pooja at a physical temple?
No. KathaVisuals provides a digital experience, not priest-led bookings, physical offerings or prasad delivery.
Can I return to the same place on the map?
Yes. Your last map position is saved in this browser when storage is available, so returning from a temple keeps your place.
